If you have previously been Safe Places – Youth Certified but have not yet set up an ONLINE PORTAL ACCOUNT – you are considered a CERTIFIED NEW USER and must follow instructions to ACTIVATE YOUR ONLINE PORTAL ACCOUNT first
You must login to your Online Portal Account
From your Online Account Dashboard you will see the option to Reapply. A step by Step Guide is available here
Documents Required to be uploaded for your recertification application include:
- New Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Background Check
- New Respect in School or Respect in Sport Certificate -( link to recertification for respect group landing page )
- 2 Pieces of Government issue ID (1 photo)
- 1 Photograph to be used for Public Directory Identification (2.5×2.5 recommended)
To maintain your Safe Places certification status and appear in the public directory, you must complete an annual declaration available through your online account.
You will be required to recertify and complete all steps again after 4 years.
Once your application has been approved, you will appear in the Public Directory.
